Getting Started
How do I create an account?
To create an account, click on "Get Started" or "Sign Up" in the header. You can register using your email address and password, or sign up quickly with Google. After registration, you'll receive a confirmation email.
How do I generate my first recipe?
Navigate to the "Generate Recipe" page from the dashboard. Click "Choose Photo" to upload a food photo from your device. Once uploaded, click "Generate Recipe" and wait a few seconds. The AI will analyze your photo and create a detailed recipe with ingredients, instructions, and nutrition facts.
What types of food photos work best?
For best results, use clear, well-lit photos of prepared dishes. The photo should show the main ingredients if possible. Avoid blurry images or photos with poor lighting. The AI works best with photos of completed dishes rather than individual ingredients.
Can I use a recipe without creating an account?
Some recipes are available publicly without an account. However, to save recipes, create meal plans, and access all features, you need to create a free account.
Features & Usage
How do I save a recipe to favorites?
When viewing a recipe, click the heart icon at the top of the recipe page. You can access all your favorite recipes from the "Favorites" page in your dashboard.
How does the meal planner work?
Go to "Meal Planner" from the dashboard and click "Create New Plan". Select the start date for your meal plan. Then, for each day, you can add breakfast, lunch, and dinner by clicking the "+" button and selecting from your saved recipes. You can also use the meal planner to generate shopping lists.
Can I share recipes with others?
Yes! When viewing a recipe, click the "Share" button to get a shareable link. You can also make recipes public from the recipe settings. Public recipes can be viewed by anyone with the link.
How do I create a shopping list?
Go to "Shopping Lists" in your dashboard and click "Create New List". You can either manually add items or generate a list from one of your meal plans. The shopping list will organize ingredients by category for easy grocery shopping.
What is text-to-recipe feature?
The text-to-recipe feature allows you to generate recipes by describing a dish in text. Go to "Text to Recipe", type your description (e.g., "chocolate chip cookies"), and the AI will create a complete recipe based on your description.
Account & Settings
How do I change my password?
Go to your Profile page, then click on "Change Password". Enter your current password and your new password twice. Make sure your new password is at least 8 characters long.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account from the Profile settings. This will permanently delete all your recipes, meal plans, and account data. This action cannot be undone.
How do I update my profile information?
Navigate to "Profile" from the dashboard. Click "Edit Profile" to update your name, email, and other information. Changes are saved automatically.
What are notification preferences?
In your Profile settings, you can configure when and how you receive notifications about meal times, meal plan reminders, and other updates. You can set quiet hours and choose which types of notifications you want to receive.
Troubleshooting
Why is my recipe generation taking so long?
Recipe generation typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on server load and image complexity. If it takes longer than a minute, try refreshing the page or uploading a different image. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
Why can't I upload my photo?
Check that your photo file is in a supported format (JPEG, PNG, or WebP) and is less than 10MB in size. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. If problems persist, try using a different browser or clearing your browser cache.
I received an error message. What should I do?
Try refreshing the page first. If the error persists, check your internet connection and make sure you're logged in. Clear your browser cache and cookies if needed. If the problem continues, contact us through the contact form.
How do I report a bug or issue?
Use the Contact Us page to report bugs or issues. Include as much detail as possible: what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and any error messages you saw. Screenshots are helpful if possible.
My recipes aren't saving. Why?
Make sure you're logged in. Check your internet connection. Try logging out and logging back in. If the issue persists, clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
Privacy & Security
Is my data secure?
Yes, we use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use secure authentication and follow best practices for data protection.
Who can see my recipes?
By default, your recipes are private and only visible to you. You can choose to make specific recipes public if you want to share them. You control the privacy of each recipe individually.
Do you share my information with third parties?
We do not sell your personal information. We only share necessary information with trusted service providers (like hosting and email services) to operate the platform. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual recipes, meal plans, or shopping lists from their respective pages. To delete all your data, delete your account from the Profile settings.
